Wood is naturally antimicrobial. Generally just hang the dish brush to dry on a towel or elevate to allow bristles to drain in between use. If you need to clean the bristles, rinse with water and vinegar to kill bacteria. Most importantly, never leave submerged in water. In short, it will wear on the wood causing it to crack; it may even cause the natural bristles to fall out.
The Beechwood and Sisal Fiber Dish Brush Head lasts about 6 months, however, the handle last up to two years.
Replacing the Beechwood and Sisal Fiber Dish Brush Head is simple. Pinch the wires together near the head of the brush and slide the small circular metal piece down to remove old brush head. However, you may need pliers the first time you change it. Slide a new brush head on and slide the metal piece back to its original position to hold it tight.

I use this brush with my favorite dish soap for washing my dishes every day. I love that the handles last up to two years and I won’t be throwing another plastic brush handle in the garbage.
Wooden handles with 100% sisal plant fiber bristles (agave plant). Demote heads to household cleaning and then compost. Recycle metal parts for scrap.
